About this blog

This blog is about our family and our new journey together. Our journey as a family started 4 years ago with the birth of Braydon, continued with Brody, and is now joined with the newest addition, Siena Rose.

Siena was born on Jan 20, 2009 @ 9PM. The reason we feel compelled to start this blog is because while the our first two boys were routine pregnancy and deliveries, Siena was everything but that. Siena was born the first day of week 34 of the pregnancy. She weighed 2# 5oz - the size of a 27 week old.

We are so blessed to have Siena with us. Beyond that, we have had such great support from friends and family. Dre and I have tried to stay in touch and promptly return phone calls and emails over the last few days. We will use the blog to help provide updates as well as an ongoing journal to share with Siena and her brothers.

  2. Siena is such a fighter...which she will need to be to hang with her big brothers some day. Thanks for starting the blog. We have the Boyd family in our prayers.

  3. What a miracle!! I am so glad to hear that she is doing so well ... she definitely has the fighting spirit in her like the rest of you! We all are so excited and thankful that she is doing so good. Thankfully, both Andrea and Siena were and are under watchful doctors' care. Thank you for sharing that picture of her wearing your wedding ring ... no one is ever going to remember just how small she is years from now. Trust me on that one! ;0) I am just glad that you all are doing so good. Her cousins, aunt and uncle cannot wait to meet her ... so take good care. Tell the boys hello from Nicholas and Christopher, ok? Talk to you soon! We all love you very much!

P.S. Thank you for creating this blog ... now I have an excuse to use my account here. ;0)

  4. The Boyds:
Someone once said,"Good things come in small packages," and she sure did. We are so happy that you are okay too, Andrea. Life is a gift and so precious. What a miracle she truly is. My 8th graders and I are praying for all of you. I showed some of them her picture, and the girls collectively sighed, "Ahhhhhhh, she's so tiny." The pictures helped put a face with the name they were praying for.
Andrea, take it easy and don't overdo. We will continue to pray for all of you. Barb aka "Mama Barb"

  5. Hi Shayne, I just heard about the birth of Sienna Rose from Tiffy and she gave me the link to this blog. I will pray that Sienna continues to grow and thrive and that you will be able to bring her home soon. You'll have to stop in the bank sometime and show me pictures. God Bless all of you.
