Our big girl

Lots going on. Siena is crawling and standing. Not quite cruising but it won't be long. She has 1 little tooth. She also is babbling up a storm. "Ma, ma, ma, ma" :-) Love it!

Braydon was excited when he walked in to see Siena waiting for him.

Peek-a-boo!

She is now beating up on her brother.

She figured out how...

to stand without...

bending her knees. It was awesome!

She looks beautiful in her Christmas dress from Aunt Molly

10 Months Old today!

Little Miss really thinks she is a big deal now :-)

Busted!

The whole gang ready to trick or treat

We spent Bray's birthday at the zoo. His cousins didn't want in the pictures, but his lady friends were more than willing to join him.

Bray performed with Kids Company Performing Group. Look for this blonde cutie in a Cosi commercial airing now. :-)

While Bray is in his stance getting ready for Boom Boom Pow that girl in the pink hat looks like she wants to rip my head off.

And now that the dancing & cake is over it is time to get down to business.

Pretty in Pink

Uncle Matt finally rips her from the gparents.

Stephanie got lots of smiles out of Siena

It was great to see little Shayne. Siena was quite impressed with all of those curls.

I think they look like a celebrity couple out for a walk with their little one, covered up from the paparazzi.

Grandma Boyd & Siena

Bray was helping the therapist with Siena. We were learning that at this age she doesn't understand that she is looking at herself. She thinks she sees another baby. Very interesting.

And more therapy at our place. I honestly do not know who is helping her with what. I just schedule the appts when people call. The more the merrier, right?

Siena is doing very well. She is pulling herself up, not quite to a stand, but almost. She is officially crawling, although she still prefers to army crawl. She just started going from a sitting position from laying down. Hard to believe she is 10 months old today. I would say she is getting so big, but we know that is not how our kids roll :-) Developmentally she is a little behind where a 10 month old would be but right on schedule for her adjusted age of 8 1/2 months. She is mentally right on track which is wonderful to see since we were told while I was in recovery that she could be fine physically but have mental issues. Everything so far indicates that that will not be an issue. We are very blessed.

Update

I am happy to report that the many prayers helped. Michael was released from the hospital just days after he was admitted and although he is still recovering, things are looking up.

Our kids are all sick with colds again and at Bray's 5 year check up today I had Siena checked out as well. She started coughing like she does so they looked her over and listened to her lungs to make sure they were clear. Seems as though she just has a cold but we are keeping a close eye on her to make sure she doesn't get any worse. She is such a tough girl.

Big news... Siena has her first official tooth popping out. I tried for quite awhile the other day to catch a photo of it but it didn't happen. You will just have to take my word on it. Sorry no pictures with this update. Hopefully I can get some pics uploaded soon.

Prayer Request

I would like to request prayers for the father of the 2 kids that I watch everyday. While Siena was in the hospital she had a whole army of people praying for her. We have been so blessed by the prayers so I ask that you keep this family in your prayers. He is in the hospital with pneumonia, possibly H1N1 and a collapsed lung. Him, his wife & his 2 kids, ages 1 & 3 could all use some prayers right now.

Thank you!

Book Suggestion

I wanted to pass along a suggestion for a book that is fabulous and goes to a great cause. Rather than explain it, I will just post this link. It is an incredible story.

Some new & old pics added

Siena has begun army crawling. She is eating stage 2 baby food and has had a couple "puffs" but doesn't seem to care for the feel of them in her mouth. You can not tell from the photos but she is actually starting to get some hair. Hopefully she will have enough soon to put real bows in. We can not possibly put her in any more pink than she already wears. Everywhere we go people tell us how cute "he" is. A woman at Brody's preschool said that "he has real lady killer eyes". What?! She was wearing a pink sleeper.

Anyway, here are some new (from today) and some not so new photos. My apologies for being extremely bad at keeping everyone updated. I hopefully have posted enough to make it work the wait.

Siena wearing the flower that Bray picked for her (actually from the impatient he planted for me for mother's day in preschool). Her shirt says "God's Special work of art". We couldn't agree more! This was a gift from Janet. Thank you for thinking of little miss. When we received it it seemed like it would be forever till she could wear it!

Today we went apple & pumpkin picking. Bray has been under the weather yesterday and today and we thought the beautiful fall day may do him good and he couldn't infect too many people outside. This was Siena's first time in the backpack. She did very well.

For not feeling well, Bray really handled it like a champ.

Don't feel bad for Brody. He specifically wanted a small pumpkin.

Bray was very excited to get the car out for Siena to try.

Siena enjoying sitting on Grandma's lap on our safari at the Wilds last month.

Siena taking a snooze on Labor Day.

The boys first day at the Catechesis (sp?) of the Good Shepard at St Margaret's. That Sunday we were told that they wouldn't keep their hands off of each other and were distracting to the rest of the class. Hmmmm.... I can't imagine. Since then though we have gotten nothing but good reports from the teachers. That would be pretty bad to get thrown out of Catholic class.

The saucer lives!

Future cheerleader?

Yoga instructor?

Or maybe personal trainer?

Not a huge fan of the ball pit.

But she IS a huge fan of the alphabet ball!

Braydon's first day at his new preschool as a peer model.

Brody's 1st day of preschool. (Bray was going to the fountains that day hence the swimsuit)

Siena had a physical therapy appt this week. I think this was through the county just to make sure she is on track. Since she was so tiny everyone wants to evaluate her and make sure she is doing everything that she should. They were very impressed and gave her a great report.

Man, looking cute for all of these pictures sure is a lot of work.

Little Miss has come a long way!

Today the kids had their flu shots. We have been looking forward to today because it was a chance for us to get an official weight on Siena. Since she no longer fits on our postal scale we have to wait till check up to get a good weight on her. We have been thinking that she didn't seem to be growing much but everyone else seems to think that she is. We were kind of expecting her to be at 13 or 14 lbs and were both a little disappointed to see that she was just 12 lbs 11 oz. (she was 11 lbs 8 oz in July). The nurse assured us though that this weight gain is fine and we shouldn't be worried. With this in mind I was scrolling through photos and thought I would share just how far she has come.
